Cos i am not catcholic, and dont prefer any religious, still celebrating christmas, but at least i know in Lithuania its most based on heathen tradicions. and finaly i wont need to declare again and again to my friends that atheists arent criminals.
Also today in lithuanian web portal found discussion about how tale about Jesus and others nowadays mentioned tradicions appeared. find out pretty interesting stuff - detailed historical facts , for example history of Konstantinas in Roma shows that Jesus was smth like spy of Roma's empere to seduce and persuade jews to change religion to Christianity, besides many well argument oppinions about it. the most i liked one - with nowadays knowledge nad inteligence its very hard to believe in tales and faith believing that church try to instill with fear of they power. that stimulate to decide to spend some holiday time on historical books or search in net more about what happened than, what we celebrate each year now
